I am Mawaddah Ismail. Founder and Director of Arabic Anonymous. I have always been interested in Arabic. Classical Arabic. Modern Standard Arabic. Colloquial Arabic. It delights me seeing my students' eyes light up when they finally understand complex Arabic concepts. They began to have confidence speaking Arabic despite their reservations about the language. Short, simple sentences. It's a start.
 
In late 2020, I was blessed with 2 daughters. At that time, I was already creating Arabic resources, mostly Arabic Assessment books for children 7 - 12 years old. I have received demands to conduct classes using our assessment books. 

 
I started pilot teaching online in 2021 to 40 students using one of our assessment books. At the end of the year, the same students and parents were clamouring for me to continue the tuition services. As a result, me and my team, decided to set up our Arabic Online Group Tuition to meet the learning needs of our community. COVID-19 definitely played a part in fuelling this demand. 
 
At that point, I was already teaching Arabic to a few students. Alhamdulillah, they were showing leaps and bounds in their progress. 
 
Arsyad was a latecomer into the madrasah scene. He did not attend Madrasah and only sat for the Madrasah Entrance test at the end of Primary 1. When he started, he did not even know how to join Arabic letters. Alhamdulillah, within a few months, I managed to keep him up to speed with the latest concepts required of his level. He sat for the test and passed it. Four years later at Primary 5, he consistently scores AL1 (90 and above) for his Arabic subjects. 
 
Another student, O, has consistently scored above 80% in his grades as he progresses up the Madrasah Primary syllabus.
 
Another student, D.I., has improved and performed better than her peers. She is currently one of the top students at her level.
 
Conversations with private tutors also made me realise resources for upper primary are hard to come by. Worksheets have to be written from scratch. On the other hand, assessment books are hard to find in the market.

1. How does membership payment work exactly?

You will be billed a $20 registration fee when joining for the first time. Subsequently, there are material fees of $75 - $100. It will be less if you have owned some of our items. You can continue at the same rate at the start of every payment cycle until you cancel your membership.
