Recommended Arabic YouTube Channels

In this digital age, technology can be very much a blessing. Learning can take place anywhere and everywhere. Especially when we talk about learning a foreign language. How many of us pick up Korean from watching K-Dramas? Perhaps quite a few of you raised your hands. Likewise, one can also pick up Arabic from listening to Arabic programmes. In this article, we share with you some very good resources from YouTube for different levels and group of learners.

 

Children: Beginners

  1. Learn Arabic with Zakaria

Learn with Zakaria, a good place where kids and parents can find great learning content every week. The channel is packed with great educational videos that will make your children laugh and smile while teaching them alphabet, colors, shapes, names of animals, fruits, vegetables and much more… in Arabic, English and even French.

  1. Osratouna TV

Based in France, Osratouna TV  creates fun and interactive contents for children to learn Arabic.

  1. Adam wa Mishmish

Originating from Jordan, Adam wa Mishmish are fun, catchy songs that help to familiarize listeners with many Arabic words through songs and movements.

 

Intermediate – Advance

  1. Arabic Blooms

Arabic Blooms is founded by Ms. Radwa, a certified Arabic teacher from Egypt. Her animated videos are short and simple and suitable for both children and adults.

  1. Learn with Safaa

This channel shows simple conversations that one can immediately use in their daily lives. Great for children as well as adults.

  1. Maya the Bee

This German cartoon series is translated from to Arabic in this channel. We recommend you to listen to a playback speed of 0.5 or 0.75 instead of normal.

  1. Arabic Fairy Tales for Kids

This channel shares familiar children fictions using simple sentences.

  1. أطفالنا

If you are looking for Arabic videos that shares Quranic tafseer in Arabic for children, then this is a good one. It explains the meaning behind some surahs in Juz ‘Amma using simple animation. 

 

Adults: Beginners

  1. Easy Quran

Easy Quran is a very good channel for those who are just learning the Arabic letters as well as those who want to learn basic Arabic. The videos are kept short (less than 3 minutes) so it is very suitable for those looking for short and quick guide.

As the name suggests, it is an intensive programme that works for those who can commit to it within a stipulated period of time. The programme is conducted in English.

Follow the journey of Ghaith as he partakes in a social experiment that provides a different type of help for poor people by changing their lives

  1. RT Arabic

Based in Russia, RT Arabic updates news and documentaries in Arabic. Listen in to learn new, contemporary words.

  1. Al Jazeera Channel

Of course, when we talk about listening to Arabic news, we can’t leave Al Jazeera behind. Controversy aside, Al Jazeera provide real time news in Arabic and English and is the best way for you to continue building your word banks.

 

We recommend you to listen to a playback speed of 0.5 or 0.75 instead of normal for intermediate – advance level.
